    Get your feet wet with invigorating activities that capture the spirit of Hawaiʻi.


    Activities for families:

    • Authentic Hawaiian Sailing Canoe Experience: Travel as the ancient Hawaiians did aboard an authentic Hawaiian sailing canoe in this experience offered by Hawaiian Ocean Adventures. Visit Makiki Joe's for reservations. Cost is $99 for ages 10 and up, and $79 for children ages 9 and under, not including taxes and gratuities.
    • Kiʻi One — Sculptures in the Sand: Learn sand sculpture techniques on the beach. Then, form teams and compete in a sand sculpting contest!
    • ʻOhana Beach Games: Families face off in fun, wild and wet challenges at the beach.
    • Toddler Time Splash and Play!: The menehune—the mysterious “little people” of the island—have turned the beach into a family play party. Build sand castles, participate in races and watch the kids dig for treasure!
    • Uncle's Kahakai Canoe Racing for ‘Ohana: The Hawaiian outriggers were marvels of their time, known for their beautiful and speedy craftsmanship. During this fun beach offering, Uncle shares his knowledge of canoes, and then Guests and their ‘ohana build smaller canoes to race.


    Activities for teens:

    • NSBZ (North Shore Beach Zone): Designed to evoke the essence of a “North Shore” experience, NSBZ welcomes teens to a fun-filled afternoon on the beach. Come dressed in your best surfing threads—like board shorts, Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses.
    • Sunset Mele: Teens are invited to gather on the beach at sunset for a festive celebration of music and Hawaiian culture.

    While parents play, the little ones can enjoy seaside fun in a supervised setting at Aunty's Beach House. This state-of-the-art kids' club offers a variety of amusements, from Hawaiian games and hula dancing to Wii™ and Sony PlayStation® video games.

  • Food & Refreshments

    Savor satisfying fare and refreshing beverages in a beautiful beachfront setting. One Paddle, Two Paddle is a quick-service restaurant located conveniently close to the ocean. Open daily, this venue offers freshly-made sandwiches, wraps, desserts and a keiki (children's) menu. Enjoy!
