  • Q: What is the minimum cost to have an event at Aulani?

    A:

    Disney Catered Events include corporate celebrations, holiday parties, graduation celebrations, family reunions and more. Starting at around $2,500, your event may include a breakfast, lunch or dinner banquet, with buffet and plated options available. A 22% service fee and 4.712% Hawaii State Tax will apply.

  • Q: How much is the event deposit?

    A:

    The minimum deposit will vary depending on the estimated final cost of your event. A signed Letter of Agreement, along with a non-refundable deposit, will be required to confirm your event date and space, and to begin planning your event. This non-refundable deposit will be applied to the minimum cost requirement of your event.

  • Q: When can I book my event?

    A:

    Event spaces may be booked up to 12 months in advance of your event date, based on availability.

  • Q: Are outdoor spaces available for my event?

    A:

    Yes, subject to availability. Aulani offers several locations to hold an enchanting event outdoors. Outdoor options include:

    • Aulani Beach, with its sweeping seascapes, soft sands and gentle trade winds
    • ‘AMA ‘AMA Patio, featuring a backdrop of Ko Olina and the Pacific Ocean*
    • Hālāwai Lawn, a tropical garden oasis bordered by foliage and tall palm trees
    • Rainbow Reef Patio, a raised deck that looks upon O‘ahu's only private snorkeling lagoon, filled with hundreds of native fish species
    • Wailana Pool, Aulani's tranquil pool, off the beaten path from the main pool area
    • Kipuka Lawn, a rectangular garden setting cloistered in greenery and serenity
    • Kipuka Courtyard, a secluded flagstone-paved space with a mosaic tile fountain

  • Q: What indoor options are available?

    A:

    Aulani offers luxurious indoor spaces for a variety of party sizes, including:

    • Kaiona Ballroom, which accommodates up to 300 Guests
    • Ka‘ala Ballroom, designed for more intimate gatherings

  • Q: Can I host an event at one of the Aulani restaurants?

    A:

    Yes. Based on availability, you can host an event for up to 20 Guests at ‘AMA ‘AMA or up to 12 Guests at Makahiki. For reservations, please call (808) 674-6373.

  • Q: Can my Guests use Resort amenities, like pools and children's programming?

    A:

    Use of the pools and children's programming is limited to registered overnight Guests at Aulani. When you make reservations, please inquire about use of other Resort amenities.

  • Q: May I arrange for a site inspection?

    A:

    Absolutely! We would love to meet with you and show you the unique venue options available for hosting your event at Aulani.

  • Q: How should I make arrangements for photography, videography, entertainment and other event services?

    A:

    Aulani has a list of preferred vendors—included in your event fee—who are happy to assist you with your planning needs.**

  • Q: May I take pictures on the beach?

    A:

    Yes! After your event, you may take photos on the beach. However, it is a shared beach and we cannot guarantee that there will not be other Guests on the beach when you take your photos.

  • Q: May I provide my own food and beverages?

    A:

    Due to health and safety reasons, we do not allow our Guests to provide their own food and beverages for events. However, we can assure you that our world-renowned chefs and pastry artists will treat you and your party to an unbelievable dining experience.

  • Q: May I provide my own cake?

    A:

    Due to health and safety reasons, we do not allow our Guests to provide their own food and beverages for their events. However, we can assure you that our world-renowned pastry chefs will create beautiful masterpieces that taste as good as they look for your event.

  • Q: May I have Disney Characters at my event?

    A:

    Disney Characters are delighted to mingle with Guests or pose for unforgettable photographs at your special event or celebration. Character appearances are available at a fee, in increments of up to 30 minutes.

  • Q: Will I be able to have fireworks at my celebration?

    A:

    In order to preserve the natural, serene environment of the Resort, fireworks are not permitted.

  • Q: May I provide my own party favors?

    A:

    Yes! You may provide your own favors for your event—up to 3 different items per Guest. Beyond this number, there will be an additional fee for labor to ensure the setup for your event is completed in a timely manner.
